In 1946, Mario Donati founded the tannery that became Ausonia in Santa Croce, Italy. In addition to vegetable tanning, he also worked on sole leather and vachetta leather. Later, the company ventured into chrome tanning, and in 2016 began producing eco-friendly leather. This bi-fold wallet is made from Ausonia's bridle leather, which handles a variety of leathers.
